Just like every other car owner in the world, I have come across a few scratches and chips on my auto glass. I have tried fixing these small problems many different ways beforehand. I have tried the basic methods. I used to always take my car to the same auto glass repair company and they would be able to fix it fairly quickly. The only problem was that I could always still see where the crack or chip was which makes me think that it was not completely fixed. I have also tried using the do it yourself methods that are available at the auto shop near my home. I only did this once myself because I felt that I was never doing it correctly. I was just wondering if your skilled professionals would be able to tell me the best way to fix any cracks or chips on my windshield. Yes, at the moment there are many ways to go about fixing a small chip or crack on your windshield. It seems that you have tried many different ways, but do not seem to like them very much. I am assuming that you do not know the technique that your current auto glass company uses. They most likely use a slightly older method. Today, there is a brand new method out that is said to be the very best fix you can get. This method is called prism technology.
Prism technology was only introduced a few years ago, and it is still not widely used. The reason this method works so well is because it makes sure to get all air and dirt out of the crack or chip by using a very high powered vacuum. This vacuum gets out all of the air so that the resin is able to go into the crack or chip easier. It then uses pressure and heat to ensure that the entire area is covered and hardened correctly. This method of auto glass repair ensures that there will be no air bubbles left in the resin. Most likely, the reason that you could still see your chips or cracks after they got fixed is because air is still inside of the area which causes bubbles to occur which are quite noticeable. Next time you come across a chip or crack on your auto glass, you should try calling companies around you and ask if they use the prism method. If so, then you will get the best and cleanest crack or chip repair that is available today.
